Our Story
The idea for Discreet Sheets came from a very ordinary problem: a mattress that just wouldn't stay dry.
No matter what I tried, mornings meant stripping the bed, running the wash, and hunting for a dry spot to sleep on. One day my daughter walked in and asked, only half-joking, if I'd gotten a cat — that's how bad it got.
I went looking for a fabric that could actually solve it, and came up empty. A friend who runs a fabric protection business tried treating several materials with waterproofing products — they'd hold up for the first few wash cycles, then water would start getting through. Not good enough.
Eventually I found a fabric that didn't rely on a coating wearing off over time. I put it through the wringer: 5 litres of water left sitting for 24 hours — not a single drop got through. Then came the stain test — massage oil, chocolate, red wine — all wiped clean without a trace. The only thing that beat it was a permanent marker.
It felt like silk. It looked and slept beautifully. And it solved a problem I knew plenty of other people were quietly dealing with too — which is exactly why Discreet Sheets exists.
