Three kids. A lot of washing. More than we ever thought one person could do.

We were used to laundry — running a couple of Airbnbs on the side, on top of raising kids, meant stripping and changing beds was just part of life. But it was the mattress protectors that nearly broke us — stiff, crinkly, ruining a good night's sleep, and somehow still letting stains through. Every changeover felt like a small battle, washing took up hours we didn't have, and every damaged mattress felt like money quietly disappearing.

As an Airbnb host, you want to be able to assure your guests that the bed is spotless, every single time — no second-guessing, no risk. That mattered just as much to us as everything happening at home.

Then one day, a broken arm made something as simple as changing a fitted sheet almost impossible. And it got us thinking about ageing parents — about how many people, every single day, face that same struggle without a broken arm to explain it. Ageing, mobility issues, recovery from illness or injury — the world doesn't really design around the simple act of changing a bed.

That's where Discreet Sheets began: designed for parents drowning in washing that was costing them time and money, for carers, for Airbnb hosts, and for anyone who's ever needed a bit more dignity built into something as ordinary as bedding.

Every mattress protector we'd tried felt like a compromise — crinkly, plastic, frankly ridiculous to actually sleep on. So our goal became simple: create a sheet genuinely comfortable enough to sleep on, while guaranteeing the mattress underneath never gets damaged. No trade-offs. We're proud to finally put that in front of you.
